American Box Respirator Bag Training Stamp
The American Box Respirator was carried in this bag. The bag is dated 1917, manufactured by Simmons. Note that the bag has been marked for training purposes only. This bag is interesting because it is a combination between the British and American style bags. The strap is British style, with British hardware. Note that this bag has two adjustment buckles and studs, versus the British bag which only had one buckle and stud. This bag also has the British characteristic leather tab on it's side. Unfortunately, part of the tab has long broken off.

Two variations are shown of the bag. The bag on the left was manufactured by Simmons, dated 1918. The other is undated as most were manufactured without a date. Note the two different style of rings on each bag for the lanyard that keeps the bag against your chest.
Anti-dimming sticks
Each mask was issued with a small tube containing anti-dimming compound to prevent the mask lenses from fogging up. Two variations are pictured.
